Requirements

  • Candidates must be dependable, flexible, and available to work regularly scheduled hours between 7am-5:45pm M-F.

  • Minumum Requirements: High school diploma and some previous child care experience.

  • Preferred Requirements: College credit in early childhood development and at least one year of prior child care experience.

  • Education: ● HS Diploma (Required) ● Associate (Preferred) License/Certification: ● CPR Certification (Preferred) ● Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)

  • SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A BACKGROUND CHECK is required for all employees.

  • COVID-19 considerations: Open Door follows best practices based on current recommendations and guidelines from NAEYC, the CDC, and Austin Public Health. A mask may be required during the interview and to work with young children and families each day.

Compenstaion and Benefits

  • $15.00/hour or more, depending on education and experience.

  • Paid sick/vacation days and paid holidays for permanent staff working a minimum of 20 hours/week.

  • Employer-offered insurance (medical, dental, vision) for permanent staff working a minimum of 30 hours/week.

  • Life+Disability insurace (fully paid by employer) for permanent staff working a minimum of 30 hours/week.
